The Invisible Children campaign to stop Kony in 2012 is full steam on.
The cause is undeniably good, although it seems there are many criticisms of the organization behind it all, Invisible Children. The site http://visiblechildren.tumblr.com makes some interesting points, notably with regards to the organization itself - only 1/3 of all funding goes to the mission; The rest is spent on media- the movie, the site, etc.- and staff and salaries. It also mentions it's support for military intervention against the LRA.
Foreign affairs magazine goes into more detail into the issues surrounding the military intervention by the Obama administration and its support of the Ugandan Army in achieving this, as well as the organizations pushing them to act: http://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/136673/mareike-schomerus-tim-allen-and-koen-vlassenroot/obama-takes-on-the-lra?page=show
